My concern focuses on whether companies can use transformative experience innovation and if so, how they might action it. In the trend of the experience economy, service and experience innovation are not new or novel differentiators, but I propose that applying transformative experience innovation as a differentiator to competition and the market can attract new customers, prolong the life cycle of customer relationships and sustain a competitive advantage. It is therefore worth positioning the management of innovation to guide transformations and create this new value.
