I’m a creator and brand storyteller whose professional approach is rooted in my experience as an industrial designer and entrepreneur. In 2009 I founded a consumer product brand and throughout my tenure as its creative director I worked entrepreneurially across the business giving me valuable insight into the complexities and opportunities that organisations face in today’s uncertain climate. My MA Innovation Management research is an investigation into practices of design for social innovation. Design is inextricably linked to the market-driven mindset yet design is now commony employed to tackle complex social problems that fall outside that paradigm. My research aim is to find out what can be learnt from other practices of social change found in the arts in order to bring a new perspective to design for social innovaton, that fosters change that is both good for society and enhances society’s capacity to act.
