I look at concern as a becoming. Becoming due to the constant flux of various social fields. My research deals with the ‘wicked problem’ of gender disparities as a result of this becoming. Taking influence from Judith Butler’s oeuvre, the aspect of identity is looked at as a performance and is addressed by applying the concept of liminality. Giles Deleuze emphasizes the primacy of desire over power (Biehl & Locke, 2010). In order to drive faster change to resolve wicked problems, an individual, organization or network should be underpinned by the desire for transformation rather than power. My research proposes a strategic framework using the concepts of body and soul. Body: as a liminal space through which the manifestation is performed and the Soul: where the manifestation is generated; which enables the creation of meshworks of impact.
