Innovation labs are often set-up in organisations which face disruption. Yet, some innovation labs fail, are ignored, misused or left in vain because of strategic and positioning issues. All the while, innovation managers struggle to find their positions in organisations as their roles are unconventional and ambiguous because of the very nature of dealing with uncertainty and change.

My research explores and maps the challenges of innovation labs and the ubiquitous challenges innovation managers face such as defining success and failure, translation and experimentation.
